I was born in Leyland 69 years ago and left to join the RAF in 1958; and reading many of your topics brings back wonderful memories, and I am sure that I recall some old Leylander's names. You see, I suffer from 'Dementia' (Alzheimer's) and what a joy it is to sudenly remember places and people through joining your site. It is like 'coming home' ... http://WWW.rexmarsden.co.uk

Welcome to the forum. I sympathise with your dementia but in any ways we all have a bit of it and its great to read about things which you have forgotten and suddenly have a great recollection when you read members memories. I akm trying to write mine and lots of anecdotes have come to me via the forum. sandy from New Zealand

Hi, and welcome to both of you.

Rex, you share the same surname as two forum members (not related - as far as we can tell).

Jim

Well Hello Rex,
last time I saw you we were at St. Mary's Youth Club.
I am Karen Elcock ... my sister is Dianne ... her best
friend is Barbara Walmsley.
I married Geoff(Goff) Bretherton ... Dianne married
Brian(Charlie) Anderton and Barbara married Norman Akers
aka Denny Curtis!

Dianne and I were remeniscing just a few months ago with
Bruce Walmsley at Jerries ... the "Do you remember when?" thing
and you were one of the people we were chatting about!
So good to hear from you.

T. D.
