Caroline, That isn`t the moon, it`s a star [Tongue]. You have to scroll slightly upwards and then to the right to see the moon. I didn`t resize the original photo downwards as the moon would not have looked so effective.

Noel, I posted an answer to your question but where did it go to ??????????? I`m no expert on camera settings so I simply set it at `Night Mode` and snapped away. I was quite pleased with the outcome as it was my first attempt at night photography. I think the exposure was two seconds - but I`m guessing here.

2 seconds, so I guess you used a tripod then Jim? And some zoom as well unless you are a lot closer to the moon than we are in Lostock Hall.[:p]
