Overheard conversation. - muffers - 21-Jul-2007
This morning my husband and I went out for breakfast.
I wondered why the women at the next table to us was giving me the evil eye.
Only after thinking about it did I understand why.[:I]
This is how the conversation went.
I was explaining to my husband how I had not slept very well last night. I said that I know Sam is Julie's son but he is a pain in the neck. I said he insists on getting on the bed with us at night when she is working and I went on to say that last night he had been drooling all over me and was breathing very heavy with his mouth open. I said it was because she spoils him and lets him have the air conditioner on all night when she is home. I told my husband that I got so aggrevated with him that I hit him on his nose.[:0] I said that Zoey knows better and was sleeping on the floor. This was when I noticed the women at the next table glare at me. It was then that I decided to mention that Sam was a dog. My husband and I joke about him because our daughter always relates to him as her son. [
]She says this is the only child she will ever have so we always call him her son. Not sure the women believed me. But when I got home and was relating the story to my daughter she was most upset that had had hit sam on the nose.[
] I should mention that its been very hot and humid here so Sam was very uncomfortable but I find it hard to sleep with the air conditioner on. Still tonight I shall have to think drooling heavy breathing dog or loud air conditioner.[
