Wembley - Spitfire - 29-Mar-2008

I think that a congratulations are in order for the magnificent achievment of Kirkham & Wesham in reaching the FA Vase cup final at Wembley.

That is a great achievment Jim. How many of the small teams in Britain would love to play at Wembley? All of them!

Kirkham & Wesham are heading to Wembley after a 1-0 FA Vase semi-final second leg win away at Needham Market gave them a 4-2 aggregate victory.

The Vodkat Leaguers now meet Lowestoft Town in the final on Sunday, 11 May.

The club's chairman Dai Davies told BBC Radio Lancashire: "It's absolutely fantastic for the club, it's a fairytale story.

"I'm really proud to be at the helm of this club, hopefully the whole town will go Wembley mad."

It;s a brilliant story. Congrats to the British Cycling team as well after their domination of the world games, they get precious little publicity.

Considering that someone was saying the Brits can't win at anything, the cycling speaks volumes.
