Seattle isn't just Boeing! - anacortesdamp - 04-Dec-2010

There are lots of interesting aviation activities in Seattle besides those involving Boeing.

I came across this little piece about seaplane operations on Lake Union. The lake is on the northern edge of the central business district, and final approach, when the flights go northwards, brings you right by the Space Needle just above the level of the observation deck.

Many of Kenmore Air's flights are actually scheduled runs to various places in the San Juan Islands. We see them over Anacortes frequently.

Enjoy.
