World Cup draw - Peter Harris - 08-Dec-2013

What do you all think about Englands chances of getting through the opening round of the World Cup in Brazil?

RE: World Cup draw - noel - 08-Dec-2013

Nil. In a word. The England team has gone backwards since the Premier League was formed and the influx of foreign players kissing the shirt as they score. I feel sorry for the supporters who are daft enough to shell out megabucks to follow their millionaire idols.

Yes Noel

They are a particularly uninspiring bunch. At least the cricketers have won something since 1966.

True Peter but the cricket team only has about 6 or seven teams to play against. When I (very rarely) watch M.O.T.D on a Saturday evening it's like watching teams from the league of nations, with just the add Brit thrown in.

I notice there is not a word on here today about the world cup, maybe Rooney's wig having more growth than the pitch of the opening game had some bearing on this. Or maybe Blatter's excesses and arorgance is overshadowing the football, or maybe because of the time difference making it last wednesday - nobody is interested.

I am going to be put into a coma now this has started. I will be bought out when the World Cr*p is over.

RE: World Cup draw - germinal - 13-Jun-2014

Well they can always blame the pitch if they do badly. One report reckoned they were painting it green!!!!!!!!!

I've just seen 2 perfectly good Mexico goals disallowed. When will the idiots in charge realise that it won't ruin the game to use a little bit of technology?

And a two penalties given when the players clearly dived. Cheats the lot of them. The Dutch looked a class act last night though I only saw clips ( North End aren't playing so limited interest for me) This says it all for me FIT versus FAT
