Has the budget affected you this year? Did you expect more or less?

You can find the budget documents here.

I'll be worse off financially.
There again what else did I expect.
Heaven help us if this gorrilla of a man ever becomes PM.
Still it will have it's benefits, no more Blair, the king of spin.
One subject he didn't mention, the N.H.S.
And today hospitals all over the country have hinted that thousands of NHS jobs may have to go because of underfunding.
I was privilidged to sit in the radiotherapy building for several hours yesterday helping a friend who is well into a course of treatment, and feeling the strain.
What a wonderful service, they make you feel so relaxed. I'm going off subject. That's what mention of politics does to me.

He`s scrapped the pensioners allowance that went towards the rates. Which in turn swallows up the miserly annual rise in the state pension. He`s put £1 into the right hand and taken £1.50 out of the left one!!!!!

Jim, use your free bus pass to go and protest in front of the Council offices! I think all pensioners should be up in arms - the pension increase is pitiful. I suppose we shouldn't have expected a give away budget - there's not an election looming!
