Start of a new season.
#1
Wednesday, April 1st sees the opening of the new season at the transport museum and Sunday 5th is the date of the first show. As usual it`s the model show and (IMO) is well worth a visit.
Although I`m not entering anything, I`m going to place my Scammell and trailer (which I completed earlier than expected) on the back of the original vehicle.[Image: Combo4.jpg]

I`ll post forthcoming shows when the time comes, in case something of interest catches your eye.

Nice one, Jim. I like drawing cars and trucks and can appreciate the detail!

Eileen and two of our granddaughters are coming over at the end of June for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, funding does not run to me coming over too (and someone has to take care of the dogs).

I'd love to see the museum again. The last time we were there "en masse" was when we brought our older grandson to have a photo taken at the museum. Our daughter decided to name him "Leyland" and we got the Leyland Guardian to do a family photo at the museum in front of a Leyland vehicle. It was a four-generation photo, with my Dad, me and Eileen, our daughter Rachel and her son Leyland, then about 2, I think. He's now coming up on 15, is about 6' 2" and will soon be driving! Kids can get a learner license here when they get to 15 1/2 and can get a restricted solo license at 16 if they pass the test. For 2 years, they can't carry any other teens except family members. Most of them wouldn't be seen dead in the kind of cars their parents drive anyway!

Gary:

A relative on Eileen's side perhaps? Her Mom was one of the Ryding family from Cowling Lane.
