Was the Nissan I just got confused ! I lived down the road from Pete on Broadfield Dr next to the phone box if that means anything to you !! I only had a few lessons and then stopped for a while. When I took it up again I went with Joe Cairns who used to drink in the Gables and so I was able to haggle with him !!! He got me through first time but my initial lessons with you stood me in good stead !!

Hi David

Good to hear from you. Mum was in touch with Mark recently - she said how he is a great lad - he hasn't changed then! I've been over here since 1987, originally Brisbane, then after a stint in NZ now in Perth - married with a daughter now - she's 14 going on 40 - aren't they all - ha ha. Phil is one of my mates from school and going out.

Hi Peter, our Mark took a degree at aged 42 and started to work for NHS as an accupational therapist, he was at your mothers earlier this year and says he had met you then I hope Marie, is ok Mark said it was strange seeing the old house where he grew up, I`ve told him about this web site, so maybe he can make contact as I have, our Shaun has lived in America Ohio Xenia for the last 20 years married with 2 boys now in their teens, I will tell him also about Leyland Forum, how are the rest of your brothers and sisters, are they still in Leyland? nice to see you get back to see Marie.

Hi David

Yes I get back regularly, and I'm really the only one who's flown the coop, although John spent a few years in Sydney. I will be going back around Easter 2011 for a couple of weeks. Its good to go back every now and then, I see parts that I'd never really looked at when I lived there. My life over here has been based around Australia/NZ but I,ve worked all over Asia and the Pacific in different jobs. Even the little Islands like Samoa and the Solomons and very different places like Papua New Guinea. Most recently Ive been working on oil rigs mainly around Australia/NZ or in the shipyards in Asia. My wife is from Sarawak in North Borneo, so I've got a load of relatives around Malaysia, my daughter is a Dinky-Di Aussie from Queensland, although she's just shaken off her Kiwi accent from when we lived there.
