I watched Martin Hayes play down at Southampton for Arsenal back in 1986 , one of my sons was an Arsenal supporter at the time ( only 8 so give him chance I thought.)
we had to go in the family stand with all the southampton supporters. and stood next to a saints fan who insisted on shouting "Lucky Arsenal" all the way through the game, even after Arsenal went 4-0 ahead he was there "Lucky Arsenal". At the end he rurned to me thinking I was a saints fan "weren't they lucky the Arsenal?" "No I thought they were the better team by far" I said. End of conversation.
