Hi Mick and welcome. In this neck of the woods, to see a policeman on patrol is an event. To try to understand the mentally of drivers who park illegally is beyond many.
"No parking" zones are an invitation for illegal parking, parking on the footpath is the norm, so we walk in the roadway. Double yellow lines are a laugh, car break-ins are an everyday occurrance, no insurance is standard practice, an apology clears the sheet. I gave up driving when I was 73 after 55 years clean, and never regretted it.
We have good bus services, good trains Oh! we also have feet, so we use them.
