Hi ColCo ...
I received your mail as above, but you failed to include your e-mail address, and cannot find any reference to you in the Forum Members. I will always try to help anyone, but will only do it this way once! You will need to provide your e-mail address or join the Forum, if you are having some difficulty? in doing this, I suggest you mail Martin who I'm sure will be only too pleased to help you to get over any problems you are having.
I did indeed write the article 'The XBOX and BEYOND' and from your short dialogue I dont know what you have done and/or what you are trying to achieve, if you have converted the XBOX to run the Linux kernal and use it as a Multi-Media Centre as per the article, and having got thus far, you are now trying to upload and download AVI's, Music or Emulators or whatever from a PC via a wireless network. To WiFi the box you will need the services of an Ethernet-Bridge because the box has no USB or facility to run any auto-run on-board drivers - although it is possible with great difficulty to do so - there are several that can be used or even by using a Standard Wireless ADSL Router and configuring it for Bridge operation, these are quite expensive, and the best one by Netgear has unfortunately been discontinued recently, but this can still be obtained via eBay etc, but even then, they bring quite high prices, due to the excellent facilities offered for its very small and compact size, and have no idea why Netgear decided to discontinue it! Try Googling for 'Ethernet Bridge' and have a look at the results.
If you need further information, join the forum, and make a posting, where you may possibly benefit from the advice of all its members.
