Julie, you haven't upset anyone, don't fret. We're very pleased to see someone joining in the forum! You may need to stick around a bit longer to find someone who used to frequent the Gables in the 70's. The number of regular posters is not huge, but there are others who just bob in from time to time and may have known you, and then there are new people signing up all the time, who have a read and then don't return. Maybe a new person will show up who did know you and will reply to your post.
But even if you don't find any old mates, you can make new ones on here. I didn't know anyone on this forum other than the forum owner, Martin, when I joined. Now I am pleased to call many of those posting here my friends and I hope you will too. [

Yes you are right, banter is healthy, and I do intend to carry on with chatting to you all. I know know if I will be back in Leyland, I havent visited there in 7 years and at present Im nursing a broken leg so I dont think I,ll be planning any trips this year.
It sounds great that you all get together but is it not like the voice on the phone, when you meet the voice its a little disappointing????I will keep it in mind if we do visit to let everyone know.
