I guess I have a different mode of thinking than most posters on this site to judge by the responses!
Of course, RMJ, personal tragedy and loss is just that, personal. We all have our share of personal loss, but I shall be damned before I advertize it on a website, capisce?
Bill R,
Regarding your responses above,to recent postings
1)re. Sandieh; I appreciate your differentiation between a personal tragedy and a news report, but, as this story involved a guide dog etc, most people (apart from yourself of course) are saddened, never the less, perhaps an initial indication of your compassion is imminent, after all you have gone so far as to try a rational explanation for your 'wonder' to Sandieh, commendable !
2); bang on, you certainly are different, or like to imply that you are !
3) ; re RMJ's, personal tragedy , you commence with didactic platitudes, but then, true to form, you have to 'throw the boot in',show your hostility, your proud (could it be redneck)lack of compassion, with your preposterous and inaccurate ref to the advertising of a personal tragedy ! This contortion of the facts is appalling , sick , but again , not unexpected !
4 ):I believe its true to say that most people on this site have indicated the types of career that they have persued, nursing, engineering, chemistry etc.etc. I would be appreciative of just a little similar knowledge, re yourself, obviously you were not in the diplomatic corp, but never the less, this info. may offer a correlation on your thought process. I doubt you will tell !
5),: It would seem that 'while there are people even at Forum level, who enjoy, contrive to impede compassion and exhort simple local daily acts to high emotional levels and in doing so create unnecessary annoyance, even anger, there will be absolutely no chance for any reduction or improvement of tension or bitterness at International level '!
6 ); re your rejection of 'Trite,' - i.e. common, worn out, stale, sorry but it appears to be the right word to me !
