Moss Farm Longmeanygate

Going back to 193 Dunkirk Lane, our neighbours were on the left Old Sammy Dean who was a WW1 soldier and on the right were Mr and Mrs Carr, their Son we believe was a local Headmaster.

My wife remembers Hart's shop Dave, and bomb holes on both sides, one on what she called Highfield bank a walk between Dunkirk and Slater Lane. TErence mentions ploughing with a tractor but in Farington it was big shire horses that pulled the plough on Silcock's farm, where the large Lever House estate is now standing.
