Dear All

I ribbed the Aussies and Kiwis recently about their sporting failures so I suppose I'd better try a large slice of humble pie after the current disgraceful failure of the Englands overpaid no-hopers in the Euro championship. It's funny how they always sack the Coach - why not sack a few of the plyers to make them appreciate that there is a choice as to whether the country wants them to represent us or not. At the moment they think it's a right based on the disproprptionate ammount of pay that they get relative to their actual worth.

Hi Peter so glad Im not the only one who thinks that footballers get paid far too much and I also agree that the coach has a part to play in the failure but its the players kicking the ball around, surely they should be sorted out first? I remember the last coach, that swedish guy, he wasnt good enough either yet hes back coaching Man city and hold and behold they are winning again? I think footballers should give 10% of their yearly earnings to the 3rd world countries or even the British homeless instead of sitting on the bench with a "pulled muscle"and pulling in 10,000 a week........I tell you I know what I would do with the English team?

Was wondering what is everyone up to for xmas, how do you all do xmas in your countries?
Holland has first on the 5th December Santa Claus, he comes just for the kids, its a normal schoolday and the presents are left in a sak at the front door, xmas is getting more like the British xmas, trees and decorations, even presents under the tree but its not as exciting for the kids as Santa Claus.
Tell me what do you do were you live?

Hey Julie

In NZ we sit in the rain watching Rugby. Ha ha.

We're off to Singapore and Sarawak for Christmas. We have a wedding to attend and will be in Singapore on 16th Dec via Sydney. We get into Kuching on 18th Dec and we are going to have a few trips around Sarawak into the jungle, longhouses, see orang utan and hornbills and so on. It will be great. Christmas lunch laced with chilli on the equator with a freezing Tiger beer - excellent

Hey Peter, well that sounds like great sport to me, what a xmas you will be having, beats ours, in doors watching BBC repeat all their usual old films and eatting turkey untill we are sick of it, I guess you win hands down (thought I would mention something to do with sport, seeing this is the sport forum).
Peter, forget the english footie, rugby and what else, oh yes the golf, snooker, boat racing, formula 1 and all the rest, enjoy your holidays with your family, let us see any photos you may have.
