Built from spare parts
#1
As no model manufacturer (to my knowledge) builds skip trucks, I was left with only one choice and that was to build my own.

Delving into the `bits box`, unearthed sufficient bits to fabricate a close resemblance to the real thing.

As you will no doubt have guessed, the cargo net - to stop the load in the skip from blowing about, once was the home of six oranges.

Jim the detail is what I noticed, in particular the large stones in the the skip. Really spectaclular.

This is my latest offering - built from bits and pieces. I couldn`t think how to shape the curved roof (until I smuggled Marjorie`s hairdryer into the workshop [Tongue]).

When I said `bits and pieces`, I meant things like the plastic trays in which supermarket meat is sold. One of those cut up, was perfect for the panel that joins the cab to the body.
