Some old footage of PNE versus Wolves, 1904 here. The ground's changed a bit since then.h

Martin, Too early? No way. I`ve been excited since the day Alan became manager.

What bothers me about AI is that he will probably be attracted to a bigger club, with his history of playing in the Prem. I am relieved we aren't facing another season with Simpson in charge. I was reading Youl Mawene's comments about the trip he organised last year to The USA. Stopping in cheap noisy hotels, players unable to get a good night's rest, playing on plastic pitches, Youl couldn't play any of the games as he was recovering from cruciate ligament injuries. They didn't win a single game, and in the pre-season games back home, the only one they won was against mighty Chorley, even Bamber Bridge put 6 past them. It was an absolute nightmare. Sir Alan would have said "you haven't a clue, you're fired"

I think (hope) that Alan himself will say that he needs a few years in order to `learn` the job and by the time that arrives, he will have worked wonders here. (well, that`s my hope).

It makes a change from being hammered by Bamber Bridge last pre-season. Talking of which, Tuesday pm Bamber Bridge.

Well, we are almost there to kick-off. What a signing Ross Wallace may turn out to be. I have to say that the good feeling I had about PNE hasn`t diminished at all during the close season. Let`s hope my feelings are reliable [Tongue][Tongue][:p]

It's a year long loan signing with the option of being recalled in January by Sunderland.
