Well I know Perrys took the place over in 2000 but that's as much as I can remember, I'm not really sure when SGL went bust, it might have been a year earlier, I do remember the place being boarded up for quite a while. Has anyone else any input?

Welcome to the forum by the way ozz.

Your best bet might be to e-mail Perrys at Leyland. Unless someone else has anything to offer?.

Erm.. didn't sgl go independently bust before slack-jaw hewitt consigned rover to its fate by professing that receivers had been appointed? or was it after?

SGL moved to where Arnold Clarke is next to Morrisons before going bust. It was much later than 2000.
