Did anyone see the Preston Passion on the telly?BBC 1 at 12 00 on Good Friday. My wife Sheila my grandaughter Caryss and I were in the bits between the dramas. We practiced for eight weeks.we started off with sixty people on the first day and by the fourth Sunday there were over 300 practicing in the Guild Hall.Mark Murphy the director did a wonderful job to get that many people to work together in such a short time.Although it was cold on the day it stayed dry.Happy Easter everyone.

The daughter of a friend of ours took the part of the 8 year old girl looking after her alcoholic mother, and very well she did too.

I watched the Preston Passion and I thought it was excellent. The ideas, the choreography, the themes, the participants, the locations were all brilliant. Using the large screens with pre-prepared material, particularly the extremely moving drama with the child carer was a stroke of genius. I was a little surprised that there were not more spectators but it may have been difficult to accommodate them if there had been more. I hope it can be repeated in future years. This is an event of our time, very original and very ambitious. Well done and thank you to the organisers and participants.
Regards to all who use the Leyland Forum.
