I've got a photo on my study wall of me aged about 3 I would guess with my eldest sister in Lucas's fields, Lucas's farm I believe bordered onto Silcock's farmland and is also now part of Leverhouse estate. I would guess between St Marlow Avenue and Lever House school is where the photo would be taken now. And no I'm not going to post it though I do look quite angelic in my short white trousers.

el You are correct Lucas's farm did adjoin Silcocks farmThe fields were behind Highfield Avenue, there was a dirt track between Bristol Avenue and farington Con Club that was the diding line between the farms, Along the dirt track that is now Leverhouse lane Dick Haydock had an open shed where Tom Haydock (Dick's son) used to slaughter lambs and as youngsters we would watch him through the hedge, Ye gods how you bring back memories.

Does anyone recall Henry Silcock or his parents Jim and Maggie?
