OK, I've lived in Devon now for 34 years, but I sometimes wonder what happened to my best friend at Fox Lane juniors.
For some reason, Stephen Swithin decided to go to Hutton rather than Balshaw's and I haven't seen him since about 1961.
The family (there was a tomboy younger sister called Eileen) lived off Turpin Green Lane, and his mother worked in Ernie Babbs1 newsagents in Hough Lane.
Where is he now, I wonder
