It's going to be 13 today, so that's a big improvement.
Maybe if we went back to Fahranheit it would sound better. 12°C= 54.6°F. um, maybe not.

Now I would have said that 12°C is only 53.6°F ! I was always told that for every 1°C there is 1.8°F and seeing as 0°C is 32°F then you would multiply the celcius by 1.8 and then add 32, simples !! Actually it got to a barmy 14°C or 57.2°F. We took two of our grandchildren and Ben the Border Terrorist to Southport. Windy but sunny and great views out to sea ( we could just about make out the sea in the distance, and the clock tower at Fleetwood was visible as well.)
The sand turns to grass as you leave the dog restricted area and head south towards Ainsdale. Years ago this was sand and not that many years ago.

Sorry guys - its winter here = it's plummeted to the mid 20's in daytime and at night around 11 degrees.
I remember when I lived in Queensland there was a heatwave in Brisbane (more than 40 degrees every day for two weeks) the local radio station rang the landlord of the Birdsville Pub in the Simpson Desert for a laugh and asked him "what would you do in Birdsville if it was 40 degrees" his answer was "I'd go and put a jumper on", its regularly more than 50 degrees there.......

Looks pretty wet in Canada, more like a boat race than Formula 1 cars.

Hey Sandy any news on the volcanic ash cloud at your end - it seems to be over here - from what they are saying on the news.
On the earthquake front - Christchurch has had a bad run. |
