No they were quite complimentary actually , said Wigan were in false position. That must upset you a bit. Remember when Martinez was first appointed I told you what a good job he'd done at Swansea making them the best passing side in the Championship? Brendan Rogers is now getting the praise but it all started with Martinez.

The inclusion of Maloney and the realisation that obstinacy is not the way forward are two pieces of humble pie that RM has eaten recently ! It has taken a long time for the penny to drop with him. Maybe it was his little chat with DW that prompted him to change things !!

Looks like Wigan are safe now, Blackburn almost certainly down.

They were awsome yesterday, the way they played and finished was out of this world. Played Newcastle off the park, it felt even better than the win against Man U. I just hope they dont take their foot of the gas and get complacent in the last two games and go on to get 6 points to finish on a high.

Good, I'm glad they've managed to stay up playing some decent football.

I saw the plane carrying the banner last night as I was dog walking. No love lost between dingles and plastics.

Season 8 beckons ! I wonder if the media will now start to realise that we are part of the fixtures and fittings in the Prem ! Surely we are established now !!

If we keep the team together and start the season as we finished then a top 10 place is on the cards. Sorry I won't be at the last game to celebrate, taking the wife on holiday but saving up for renewing season ticket.

Looks like you could be losing a great manager guys, he kept you up, no mean feat for a club the size of Wigan. Personally I hope he stays at Wigan and repays the loyalty DW showed in him, supporting him even when Wigan were rock bottom and looked doomed, the sack would have come as no great surprise. Liverpool though is a huge club do you think he'll go?

He will fly out to Boston next week for talks along with Rafa Benitez and AVB ( Ex Chelsea ) ! AVB is a very short priced bookies fav and will probably suit Liverpool's needs more than Martinez who hasn't really proved anything yet. It would be a massive step up for Martinez and in my opinion it would be too soon for him ! Benitez would also be a better proposition for Liverpool rather than Martinez but I dont know whether a return would work at this present juncture. Liverpool are not the force they were and their fans are becoming delusional and so the mention of Martinez on their forums is causing panic and anxiety ! Martinez needs to stay with us and see if he can continue to build and improve the squad and get in a couple of mid to top half table finishes before he can be taken fully seriously !

News this morning that Brendan Rogers has turned the job down. Rogers inherited the team and tactics of Martinez, wise decision, he would have been found wanting IMO.
