This is kinda .. the Topic!!

I had a friend who lived in Thurston Road Leyland .... Joan Hill.

Joan married another friend ... Bill Parr from Tardy Gate.
Bill played soccer for Leyland Red Rose in the late 50's.

Bill's brother Steve played professionally for Blackburn.

I lost touch with Joan and Bill when they moved to Australia and I moved to Canada.

Karen,
Was Bill Parr any relation to Tommy Parr who had a small workshop at the corner of Moss Lane, Tardy Gate-many moons ago?-the 40's and 50's.
He was quite a character.

Lady G,
I don't know if Tommy was Bill's father, I only met his Mom and that was when she was at the matches .. yelling at Bill for him to ... "Kill 'em"!!

Doreen,
Thanks for the info .. will try there.

Ciao Karen.
