I'm hurt. So I moved away from Leyland 35 years ago to work in television (not a lot of opportunity for that in Leyland), but I don't regard that as some mortal sin.

OK, so I don't contribute all that often. But when I'm moved to (like now) or something or someone turns up on the forum, it's good to remember and/or catch up.

Do you moaners want to rob us of that?

I don't think there was any intent to moan Colin, it was merely something Phil was pointing out, the forum had gone static. Incidentally I thought you were a journalist, didn't realise you had gone into TV.

Noel - I was a journalist on the Lancs Evening Post, but moved to Plymouth to be Press Officer for what was then Westward TV in 1977.

I subsequently moved across into production (about 1980) working mostly on regional programmes for Westward and its successor Television South West. Worked on some network programmes produced in Plymouth - latterly writing just over 4,000 questions for teo series of an afternoon quiz show about musicals.

When the gravy train that was ITV was heading for the buffers in 1989, I toom a pub, which I've just sold and retired.

we lived in wiltshire for about 10 years Colin, our ITV was HTV. I can vaguely remember a female news presenter committing suicide shortly after she opened Dilton Marsh annual fate back in the 80s.
Annie St. John I think, she took an overdose of something not very pleasant, a very popular presenter at the time.
