Why do the papers keep going on about a heatwave?

All we have had here is masses of cloud and gloomy grey days.

Its pouring with warm ran here and its about 32 degrees - about 90%+ humidity - sweaty

Over in Lanzarote it's 21 C here but quite a breeze down the coast. Feels quite chilly.I think the press refer to the south east, nowhere else matter in their eyes
