Did anyone else read this week about the shop at Seven Stars? The chap who lived in the flat upstairs died and left behind his model ship.
It is 25 foot long and comes complete with engine. Apparently he knocked internal walls down to accomodate it!!!
The lowest quote that the shop owner received to remove it is -------
--- £6000.00. The road will have to be closed in order to park the crane.

Martin, I`ve no idea as to it`s value. The photograph in the newspaper was quite impressive, he obviously had quite a lot of skill. What interests me is how he got all the material (especially the engine) upstairs, without any one knowing and what happened to all the rubble from the walls he demolished? There must have been so little room left in the flat that he must have lived on board LOL

A chap I worked with was a registered bullion dealer living in Halifax and had a safe in his cellar. He moved to a new house and found he could not get the safe out of his cellar. I wonder if anyone else has bought a house and found that they also had a two-ton safe in the cellar??

I have seen large safes being installed in several stores and was absolutly fasinated by the 8-wheel electric trolly that climbed stairs carrying the safe.
