It'll be great if North End are promoted to the Premiership but how will they go when they are there? Will the capacity of Deepdale be an issue or does the club have a generous sponsor who will help provide funds to boost the squad?
I say this because, as all football followers obviously know, money is such a big issue in the Premiership, and most promoted teams find the going tough.

There really is a world of difference between the Premiership and the Championship and quite frankly, if PNE did manage to win the play-off,(assuming they get there), [8D] I'm of the opinion that they could set a new record of never winning a game. WBA beat North End, at Deepdale 0-2 in the Cup, and they have only managed three wins all season in the Prem. [B)]

as I understand it if PNE get promoted (IF) they would get £20million , this would be used to buy better players. They would then get relegated and get another £20million to protect themselves from the cruel world outside, yoyo back get another £20million and eventually end up like Bolton.

Derby 0 v 0 QPR
Another good result for North End. I just can't see them beating any of the top three, no matter which one it is that's left to fight it out for the third promotion spot. What a ridiculous situation to have a team, say Ipswich, so far ahead of the next place team to have to play off. They are currently 11 points ahead of Derby and North End. What's the point of the season ?

Play offs. I wouldn't have it any other way. Think about poor old Hereford United last season. One point behind Chester, I think they both had over 90 points, the team that won the play offs finished in 4th place, about 20 points behind, Shrewsbury.http://www.confguide.com/pastTable.do?season=2003
pne can beat every team in the division. PNE would be champions if Craig Brown had been sacked at the end of last season as most ofthe supporters were clamouring for.
Clubs know the rules in advance.

Three more priceless points in the bag. Will the bubble burst or dare we hope to keep a play-off position? This is the first time I have had positive vibes about promotion. With the present setup I feel that we can beat anyone in this division.

Knowing our luck we'll lose on penalties in the final our last penalty will hit the post, bounce across goal hit the other post, and fly back into the goalkeepers arms.

How about signing some ageing premiership players to bolster their chances?
