Hi Ray - Hope you stick around for other subjects too.

I`m trawling through some records that are later than the 1881 census but it`s a slow process.

Hi everyone,
I'm related to an Iddon too! But he's not from Leyland. He's Dave Iddon from Eccleston. His dad, Derek, worked at British Leyland in the 60's and his grandad was Bill Iddon. Dave runs the bubblegum website and his wife George (Georgina) is mad keen on tracing family ancestors.

There are SO many William Iddons, especially in the Hesketh Bank, Banks and Tarleton graveyards. I went there to take photos of probable relatives, but gave up after a bit!!

Hi Caroline,

I was going to suggest that you had a chat with Dave's wife about tracing deceased relatives but I see that you're in France! Another cousin and his wife (not Iddons!), Ken and Pat Norris, are moving to live permanently in France later this year. How long have you been there?
