Sometime that happens with me too. I have to "Refresh" in order to get the latest message...even my own posting sometimes !

And Frank....I've still got a couple of years to go before I'm eligible for the UK pesion, but I'll be getting the basic inquiries started with the folks in Newcastle in the New Year. I did 10 years, from leaving Balshaw's in April 58 to emigrating in July 68.

I think you have to have paid for 11 years in order to qualify for the minimum pension. Check it out, you may have to send them a years worth of contributions [Smile]

David:

We submitted the paperwork to Newcastle about a month ago. We got our certificates back last week, so we should hear something shortly. I think that rule about 11 years has been amended, as a friend of ours who worked about 8 years is getting a pension. I'm luck in that, all the time I was in College, I was on the BAC payroll as a student apprentice, so my weekly contributions were made.

We'll see.

Re Franks query, this is what occurred. I was considering a posting on this subject, I then looked at my posting of 16 Dec and I changed the first word from (The) to (My), that is all ! Sorry about the confusion that I've caused !
William, would I do a thing like that ?[:0]
