I`m having trouble (once again) in posting photos to the web.
This time I`m almost certain that I`ve done everything correctly.
e.g. [Image: Brick%20truck%209(a).jpg]
Despite this all I get is a red cross. Any ideas please?
The name of the photo has to be correct because it opens up in my web space.

Audrey, you need to have the photos web based rather than on your PC.
Ideally on your own web site .

noel, My photos ARE web based and have (as you know) posted OK in the past. I havn`t changed ANYTHING so I`m at a total loss to know what the answer is. I discovered the problem when attempting to post my latest model to the magazine site.

I realise that Jim my reply was to Audrey who it seemed didn't. I tried to paste the properties of your photo and access it that way but the browser would have nowt to do with it.

Noel, I needed to get this model uploaded to beat the deadline for publication - unfortunately I`ve missed it.
I checked the URL for a previous photo on this forum and found it was the same as I`m trying to use. So to test I deleated the photo and tried to replace it - quess what? Just a red box!!!!

The problem HAS to be site related. (I think) HELP

Jim, you forgot the golden rules.

To make posting photos easier you should avoid having spaces in your filenames and avoid special characters e.g. brackets.

Brick truck 9(a).jpg isn't a very good filename and can easily confuse web browsers.

try renaming it to Bricktruck9a.jpg

Quite correct Noel.
If anyone wants to post some photos, I have plenty of web space here so you can email the images to me and I will give you the link.
