What's all the fuss about an american guy buying up Man U? Is it such a bad thing for the club?
It could be a blessing especially when most of our clubs are trying to crack the American market.

It's rather amusing seeing the Man U fans getting wound up over it. Their arrogance is there for all to see.
Calm down dears, it's only a game of football.[8D]

It's only a southern team Noel. I think that real manchester football fans (Man City) will be having a laugh about all this fuss.

My father would be having a fit if he could hear you saying that, Martin. Born in the Openshaw district of Manchester, he was a lifelong Man U fan, in fact he was a VIP member - to qualify you had to have been a member since before the Munich disaster in 1958.
The reason for the unrest amongst fans is that Glazer has had to go into debt to buy up so many Man U shares and there are worries he will cream off club profits in a major way in order to service his debt.

I don,t consider myself arrogant Noel, just a concerned United supporter. United are already the richest club in the world so what has the American got to offer? Or do you think he may only be there for what he can milk out of it. If he wanted to "make his mark" why didn,t he buy a club who might appreciate his dollars. I,m sure there are lots of stuggling clubs who would have welcomed him with open arms, so why United? He has no history in the game so what are his plans? I,m been a United fan since before Munich, I was at Wembley in 1968 but when I,m home I go to watch Accrington Stanly, Blackburn Rovers and Burnley, I cheer on all the British teams in Europe, even the southern ones, so yes Noel I,m concerned football fan.

I'm sure you're not arrogant Bryan, I'm referring to the ones we've seen on television burning their "season tickets" ( presumably this season's with today's voucher carefully removed, or am I being cynical, Too many Man U fans who have the attitutude of the Leyland Motors strikers, "we'll show you who rules the world" scribed on Centurion Way bridge back in the late sixties/seventies. Well the world showed them didn't it? The Busby days were magnificent , I could even have been a supporter myself then of Man U in fact I did go to a few matches in the sixties, 69000 on v Forest I remember with Forest winning 1-0 scoring near the end of the game.. But everything's changed, it's a plastic game these days where the only winners are the footballers pocketing £90k a week and demanding more.
Even at North End's level it's happening from time to time. How can anyone call it a game any more. It's a business and that's all. And for people to stand there spouting about Glazer , well, they deserve what they've got.

Well that's a big blow to Man U losing the final on penalties, easily the better side for most the game but having a lot of missed chances. Did Arsenal actually have a shot on goal before the shoot out at the end?
London wins against Lancashire, hope this isn't repeated Spring Bank Monday.

If Preston go up Noel, there will be a lot of north west clubs in the premiership.

If ever there was a game to prove the old adage...It's goals that count...that was it. Our TV showed shots taken M.U. 28, Arsenal 5. Shots on goal M.U. 9, Arsenal 1. It speaks for itself.
