probably a bit late in the day but its the meeting tonight of the Leyland historical Society A talk entitled lancashire a timber framed county. 7.30 prospect House Sandy Lane

"A timber framed county" sounds interesting. Do we know what the talk was refering to?

It was all about wooden framed houses, which we tend not to think of their being a lot in Lancashire. It was quite interesting and he showed some lovely slides including Worden old Hall and quite a few houses from around this area, Walton-le-dale, Croston etc.
