Martin, Do you have any common locations of `Easter Eggs`? I`ve given it a lot of thought and don`t ever remember seeing one - unless I did and didn`t recognise it as such.

Alfred Hitchcock always appeared in his own films....... though this became so well known, it probably doesn't qualify as an "easter egg" any more, the idea being that only a few will spot the "egg".

The `eeggs` site that Martin recommended is addictive. How on earth does anyone spot an egg in a film when it`s only visible for about a second?

Easter Eggs are hidden extras and can be found in lots of places such as computer software, films, DVDs, books etc.

In computer software, the programmer might have added something in the code that isn't in the instructions or isn't supposed to be there.

Here's a simple egg
In windows open up the Solitaire card game and play it for about 30 seconds, then press ALT+SHIFT+2 this will force a win.

One of the most hotly discussed/argued eggs is the Wizard of Oz v Dark Side of the Moon connection with some people saying that the whole album was written to sync with the film. I don't think that is the case but I do think that The Great Gig in the Sky was made to sync with the tornado scene. Pink Floyd have made tracks that can be played over film scenes before, one of their tracks was made to be used over 2001 a space Odyssey.
