Skate park bid is put on film
A GROUP of campaigning Leyland youngsters are soon to become stars of the silver screen.
The Leyland Skate Park Project Group, made up of a group of teenage extreme sports fans, have been fighting to get a new skate facility built in the town.
The youngsters have now started work on a 20 minute film highlighting the case for such a development.
In the film, the group will present their arguments for a skate park and will include interviews with residents to get their views on the idea.
Alison Hatton, South Ribble community safety co-ordinator, who has been helping the youngsters to organise their campaign, said: "The aim of the group is to develop a local skate park for the young people of Leyland in a secure environment without the conflict or disturbance of others.
