Jim, I hope that you're correct re serious discussion when needed, I suggest that the time is appropriate with the present concerns over civil liberties and the arbitary release of terror suspects.
Re the late Bill Rigby, again you are correct, however Bill was an interesting fellow ,often offering an alternative viewpoint, certainly a character !
Occasionally I wonder what it takes to raise people to discussion on important issues, eg P.C. and presently Human Rights issues, we seem to get a biased viewpoint in the media, people like Louise Arbour continually achieve the spotlight and readily offer their skewed leftish opinions and poor judgement.
