Conned -yet again!!!!!

I can't believe that the UK television audience is naive enough to spend money on telephone voting for these idiotic programs.

I refuse to watch their equally idiotic US clones, but I wonder how they make them work here, because there are so many different ways to make calls (prepaid cells, prepaid long distance providers, internet phones, cell phone plans with very large blocks of "free" minutes built in). We use a prepaid LD service that gets us calls world wide for 2.8 cents/minute. Some cell phone plans offer more minutes per month than there are minutes in a month!

I really wish all these "reality" shows would wither and die.

Did you know Pol Pot is today regarded as one of the five worst mass-murderers of modern history, along with Belgium's King Leopold II, Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, and Mao Zedong.

Whilst we wish these reality shows to fade away, can we wish the same fate to the glut of pulp magazines whuich masquerade as Radio and Television magazines? Lurid, suggestive, vile, are a few of the words coming to mind. Can we also have a bit of clear language spoken correctly, no clipped words, or dubious accents.

I could go on, but does it matter?

I'm afraid they cater for the markets, the markets always dictate. Unfortunately today we seem to live in a capitalist state rather than a democracy

I use the TV guide section of our newspaper, Bill. It's been donkey's years since I bought the Radio Times - has it gone the way of so many other magazines?
