France's top apprentice is a Brit
#1
A young British lad has just won a competition to find France's top apprentice. Oliver Watson (who has a French mum) qualified in Art, but found himself unsuited to it, was taken on as a plumber's apprentice and loved the work so much he was good enough to be entered into a competition. After winning regional heats in France, he has gone on to win the over-all prize and will meet the Frnech President to receive his award. He's currently working in Manchester! [}Smile]

That would annoy the FrenchSmile

I attended a meeting recently, before it started I was speaking to someone who looked familar but I couldn't place them, they told me what they did and that gave no clues. Later, a few minutes in to the meeting I turned to him and said "The Apprentice!", he was Adam from the last series of the Apprentice. I hadn't thought of him being from TV, I assumed it was from some other IT meeting I had attended.

I thought that he was a car salesman from one of the showrooms at the docks. Has he branched out to IT?

On return from London he went to work for a sports software company, he was interviewed in their offices on the local news after his appointment. It was weird not being able to place him, so I thought I'll talk to him more later on, once I had remembered where I had seen him. Then as he sat to my right I recognised where I had seen him before.
