Thinking of changing my broadband supply from AOL which I find frustrating to say the least. Any suggestions for a good cheap broadband or package...,broadband,phone and cable. Thanks.

Kevin, From personal experience, if you have the chance of changing to Virgin, then my advise would be to go for it.
Slow download speeds are the biggest cause of complaint among broadband users, with IOL`s promising speeds `up to` whatever. I have upgraded on two occasions and now subscribe to the 20Mbps package. I run a daily speed test and have ALWAYS obtained speeds either equal to that promised or ABOVE it. My current average for the last two months is 20.43Mbps.

I agree - I am on Virgin and have very few complaints.

I'm on O2 and it's the best one I've had so far. I have a pay as you go mobile which I top up by £10 every three months and that gives me £5 a month off the broadband price. It costs us £7.50 a month for up to 8 meg download and that should be quick enough for most people.

I have Virgin as well. I don't think there is any cheaper package. I know the Talk Talk people who annoy me so much at Morrissons shouting as you go past always lose interest when you say you've got Cable. Phone, Broadband and TV basic package comes to around £25 a month, might be slightly more, the TV element of that is free and Broadband speed is pretty fast in these parts.

Thanks for the suggestions, virgin looking like the one after viewing the posts and having abit of a toot around on the net. AOL failed again today and had to re-load all the software. not much of a problem but when you also have to open up a connection before you can load AOL, I think their times up..Thanks all
