Thanks for that explanation John.
It's one of those words used in America that always baffled me .
It's odd that such a high % should just die without obvious cause.

Thankyou John seems such a hard life for the poor ducks. Is a bayou the same as a marsh here in New England.

Eunice Kennedy died today. She did great work with the mentally and phyically disabled. She set up the Special Olympics. It mentioned her sister Rosemary who it said was 'mildly' mentally challenged. Makes you wonder why they had to perform a lobotomy on her.

Its a week ago today that my little dog died.

Awww, Avril, commiserations for the loss of your dog.
I watched a documentary on Sunday evening about the last remaining WW1 soldiers, shown again in tribute to Harry Patch. It had me in tears.
I've also been struck by the way Sir Bobby Robson's passing has been marked by a minute's applause in place of a minute's silence at footbal matches. I'm in favour if it stops some smart alec interrupting a solemn moment.

The fact that they are even thinking of releasing Alselbaset al-Magrahi one of the Lockerbie bombers. Due to be released on compassionate grounds so he can be back on Libyan soil for Ramadan. He apparently has prostate cancer. I wonder where his compasion was when he placed the bomb on that place and killed 271 people[Sad][Sad!]

Doubts have been raised as to whether he was the guilty party. If there are doubts why does no one seem to be investigating further?

Scotland should be proud of itself today. They released the murderer of 270 people to a hero's welcome home. He had only spent 8 years in jail. 2 weeks for each person who died.

Also Hurricane Bill is closing in on New England but will pass us by this weekend with just high surf. Going to eat at a restaurant tonight which overlooks the ocean so will be able to watch the waves. I love the sea although I cannot swim....

What I should have said is the ministers in Scotland not the people. The people in all countries have little to say as to what really happens.
