If your builder / developer says you cannot use your loft for storage they are wrong!

They say you cannot because most so called companies who advertise this services offer a cheap and poor quality service.
They board using a little batten sat on top of the joists and remove insulation or squash it so they can get the boarding down.

This obviously is totally the wrong way to board your loft for storage as it compromises your insulation and can cause issues with air flow in the loft which may cause damp or condensation issues, hence another reason the developers doesn't want you to board your loft.
