Dog thieves around
#1
Beware anyone locally who has a pet dog, a friend of a friend had hers stolen from her back garden, Stanifield Lane area. The police said 6 had been taken recently in the area and that she wouldn't get it back, they are being used as bait in dog fights.

I thought there were laws against dog barking but apparently not but there is a procedure for complaining to local authority

Nobody's made the point that the policeman could have been a bit more tactful. Maybe it wasn't taken for bait. There again when you read about police tazering a 61 years old blind man because they thought his white stick was a samurai sword what else do you expect from them.

Get in touch with Dog Warden at SRBC They will deal but you will probably need to do a log about it.

I did with the idiot next door, who believe it or not, claimed the dog wasn't her responsibility when she was out of the house and they dealt with her.

Hi Noel, I know this might be a bit of a long-shot, but I'm wondering if your 'friend of a friend' might be happy to talk to me about what has happened, so we can highlight the issue in the Leyland Guardian?
I can speak to the police for confirmation etc, but it would be good to speak to someone who has been affected by this, to give it more meaning.
If you woulnd't mind passing my contact details on please, I'd really appreciate it.
It's [email protected] or 01257 264911.
Thank you.

I've got my wife on the case Kay, it was she who passed the information on. I'll certainly get back to you if I find out the lady's details who had her pet stolen.
