Another defibrillator has been put in the old BTR offices now Lancashire business park site, to care for the
workforce there.

Defibrillators significantly increase the chance of survival of a cardiac arrest sufferer. Placing defibrillators in public places of high footfall like sports facilities means that if someone suffers a life threatening cardiac arrest, early intervention from the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) can mean vital treatment can begin early and assist the sufferer in increasing their chances.

I thought that the forum would be a great place to share the location of local pubic access AED's along with any other private AED's in industry / building or sports clubs etc - so please let us all know

So I will start the ball rolling with the 2 public access AED's that I know about.

I have helped facilitate the placement of Defibrillators in partnership with NWAS Cardiac Smart Campaign who have recently updated their mapping of Defib locations including those in Leyland & I have added some more info below please also see www.defibrillators4sports.co.uk thanks Keith

Leyland Fox Lane sports & Social club (its a CPAD Community Public Access Defib)
Leyland Golf club have 2 Defibs 1 internal & a CPAD external by the Pro Shop

Leyland St Andrews Church have placed 1 in the main church building & 1 in the Parish Hall

Leyland Methodist have placed 1 in their Community Centre
