World Championship Snooker 2005

Ian McCulloch from Preston has done really well at this championship, he has gone one better than last year when he reached the quarter finals and he is now battling against Matthew Stevens for a place in tne final.

Snooker is in a bit of a pickle as the new cigarette advertising laws come into play. This is the last Embassy World Championship so all that cash might dry up. Other competitions are also looking for new sponsors.

I believe there was some sort of arguement about the distribution of prize money or sponsers elect or something, didn't get my head round it as snooker , is it a sport or a pub game? Anyway the players fell out with each other and as a result the prize money is being cut dramatically. Did you undersrtand what it was about Martin?
