I'll try and get Stuart to come Brian and maybe my wife Margaret who used to play with your mob when she was little. ( or so she says)

Oh, Noel! The nearest I have been to Leyland is Junction 28 on the M6! However, so long as I know it's on Church Lane, I'm sure I can find the pub. Multimap.com rarely lets me down! Thanks for the directions!

(I was close on Monday - had to go on a course at Preston Postgrad Medical Centre - was amazed to find the parking for the post-grad unit is free!)

It's OK, Hayley - Noel posted pretty good directions and I can find Church Lane on the net.

Awww, Vanessa, shame you can't make it - maybe next time?

Well, i'm hoping to be. Though whether it will be in my offical capacity as Leyland Historical Society chairman, as the museum visit and walk was my idea to show my future wife the historical part of Leyland in company with Dr David Hunt from the Museum. I should say she is coming over from Toronto for her first visit next weekend, before she moves over here next year.
