Julie, I know exactly what you mean about the `face not fitting the voice`. However,I can say with total honesty that I havn`t felt let down or disappointed by anyone I`ve met face to face via this forum. Whether the feeling is reciprocated is another matter altogether [Tongue][Tongue][Tongue].
With regards to your original enquiry, being a person who has been known to enjoy the odd jar or three, I can honestly say that I`ve never ever crossed the threshold of the Gables. Don`t ask me why, because I don`t know. I can`t think of any other pub in Leyland that I havn`t visited at one time or another over the years.

Jim you cant tell me about pubs in Leyland, Iuse to live across from Broadfield arms and also closs to Tiger, niether I visited, nor did I go into any of the pubs by the leyland cross, like I said it ended up the Gables, I think because a friend of ours went there and like I said we played a lot of pool. My best friend Maria lived in Brinstal so sometimes we would go to a really small country pub there but it wasnt noisy enough for me.
I didnt mean by the face and voice not matching I meant, its easier to talk to a faceless person, did you not find it awkard when you sat face to face to someone you had chatted to like this???

Awkward to talk to someone we'd previously only known from the forum? Hmmm, maybe for the first 5 minutes, but the regulars on here are such a friendly bunch, the conversation soon takes off. I hope yuor broken leg soon recovers - must be horrible to be in plaster in warm weather.

Thanks for your well wishes, Im glad to say I have no longer plaster on my leg, I have a removable brace which I now for most of the day dont wear so Im able to do some exercise and physio, it was a controlled break to my leg after operation to improve my knee.
Im sure you are right about after chatting a lot to people on this site, when you meet up in person then the ice is already broken and the chatting will be a normal process for you all.
