Alan, I think that most people here like to engage in serious discussion and indeed do so when the need arises.
I`m afraid that attempting to emulate Bill Rigby`s approach isn`t the answer. Long gone are the days when all that was required was to toss a large boulder into the pond and sit back and observe the resulting waves.

It's interesting to note that the current rush to protect all and sundry from Human Rights violations is based upon European Community and UN requirements. What country within the EU community has one thousand years of democracy and civil liberties, has continually sent its armed forces to release other EU countries and countries farther afield from oppression ensuring in turn their liberties,countries that have seen as little as forty years of liberty, and now have the gall to demand that same country comply with their requirements ? I think you know the answer !

The problem is something that none of you realize.
ENGLAND REALLY LOST THE WAR. Germany took over and you don't know it. Big brother is watching you if you disagree with what the 'rulers' tell you then you are carted off to jail or fined. They watch you from every street corner they listen to your conversations,other people report you for something you might just have said in anger. You cannot disagree with certain groups or you are labeled a 'bigot' there is no longer any free speech.
Does this not sound like Germany during the 30's. It would be funny if it wasn't frightening. They have already begun to brainwash your children into thinking the older people are wrong. They want to block out part of history in your text books as it might upset certain groups. What comes next. Will you still be speaking English in another generation or will it be some foreign language taking over the country. Could it be German, Polish I suppose it will be the language of
the many and you will soon be the few. The writing is already on the wall as Spitfire said on another posting he was outnumbered by foreigners he being the only one speaking English.
There will be no more greenbelt area's that will be gobbled up. Town councils will be taken over by these people who have no love of the country. They do not care. It is not in their blood it is just a place for them to live. Why should they care. They already outnumber some town councils so its on its way. And England sleeps. It cares about beer, football, the tele, and holidays abroad.
England can no longer close the doors and say 'no more' there are no barriers anymore. All are welcome even if the country can no longer sustain them.
Could it be that Hitler really did win in some backdoor fashion. What do they say we won the battle but lost the war. On this day in the US when we remember all those who died in Wars I think its very sad to think that all those who served in the UK may not be resting in peace because we have let them down.
The worst thing that the UK ever did was to join the EU.
Even if the UK may say its alright to do something it can be sent to the EU and overturned.
Just think of the liberties we have lost over the past 20 or so years.
You cannot have a discussion outside your own home on any serious subject or you could be reported.
Not that I like smoking but you cannot do it without the threat of being arresting if you do it in the wrong place.
You cannot discuss muslims, blacks, homosexuality, certain religious groups, or you could be arrested. People are afraid.
If someone is being searched for in reference to any type of crime etc. you find that the colour of the person is left out of the investigation or the religious persuasion is left out. How stupid is that. I dont care if the person is red white black or blue I want to know if its going to help find he or she.
Liberals are the ruination of countries. They want freedom for everyone even if that person will one day turn around and do harm. Not just terrorist but in all areas. They are always there for the so called underdog. The rapist the killer the terrorist the illigal alien the drug dealers there is always some do gooder or greedy lawyer waiting to put them back on the street. They want all illigals to be set free they dont want them in detention centre's. Just let them go. Doesnt matter that they might kill someone because they cant read the road signs when driving. Doesnt matter that they might have some disease that can be carried to someone else. I had to have X-Rays and a medical exam before I was allowed into the United States but do you think they test all the illigals entering the US and the UK . No wonder TB and other illnesses are on the rise. But you must not mention it thats discrimation.
Sorry to go on. But it makes my blood boil.

The reason all this has happened is because we all sit back and let it. We accept whatever our goverment does with hardly a protest. Whats that saying ? a country gets the leaders it deserves!!

Exactly Muffers, and it probably doesn't come as a surprise to you to be told it is the same here in Australia.
A recent case was reported of a HIV positive illegal immigrant being released into the community with orders to report weekly to a local police station, and told not to have sex with anyone while on release. He of course went missing immediatly, whereabouts still unknown. The public have been informed to be carefull and not have unprotected sex. Because he was illegal no records of his past or any criminal convictions is known, so it is quite possible that he may be a sex offender or rapist anyway.
Another human rights victory for the lawyers, who of course make money fighting for their rights and if they are found and arrested will make more money defending their actions again.
You can have too much freedom and we have arrived at that point, the ultimate freedom is anarchy and the west is well on its way to that.

Shuffy thats exactly right. We sit back and let it happen and then we all moan but do nothing about it until its to late. I wonder sometimes how these heads of government ever get elected but they do. I think that happened in Germany many people opposed Hitler but did nothing about it they thought he couldnt win and then when he did they just went along with the crowd or died or were flung in jail. Does all this sound familiar. Off course if you oppose the British people you can have any type of demonstration you like and nothing will happen to you, but let it be some English person demonstrating against those who would do us harm and he will be arrested and that did happen last year.

What makes Britain great. Well on the US news tonight they had a segment on fat people in British jails. The powers that be feel sorry for them so they are paying for personal trainers so they can get fit. Guess who's paying the over 1million pounds for this service....you are.
Big brother was also on the news. They now have camera's that watch what you are doing and loud speakers which they use to tell you that you are doing something wrong whether is dropping paper or parking your car in the wrong place etc.
