Parking is going to be their main problem. There just isn't anywhere.

If I remember right the previous owner had permission from ALDI for Th'owd Chippy customers to use their car park

That might be alright after Aldi have closed at 8 p.m., but any earlier than that would be impossible. Aldi's car park is always heaving. Yesterday when we went they were queueing in the road to get into the car park.

Most customers coming to pick up phoned-in orders wouldn't be in the Aldi parking lot for more than a few minutes. Congrats to Aldi for being co-operative. From 5000 miles away, I don't know how the current environment is. I assume Aldi is on the site of the old Leyland Garage, formerly a Ford dealership owned by the Marsden family way back when. I used to deliver newspapers to the partiarch of the famliy, who lived om Fox Lane. Number 119 sticks in memory, but I might have mis-remebered.

Hi, the Aldi car park can be used for free on:

Monday to Saturday between 7pm and 10am the next day

Sundays outside of the hours 10am to 4pm

See: http://m.leylandguardian.co.uk/news/loca...-1-6488807

Also, as long as your car is parked for less than 90 mins at Aldi's car park then you can pop in and out from the chippy or the Indian ;0)

Hope that helps.
