Just depends what you mean by hours, and general sale, Noel. According to the Official PNE site, it took 4 days to sell the allocation...96 hours [Sad]
About the cost...I went to the 2003, Arsenal v Southampton F.A. Cup Final...£45 ticket price, I bought two. We were so close to the corner flag...well I took a couple of the corners. But it's well worth the experience. [8D]

Tickets went on general sale on Tuesday David, there were queues hundreds of yards long round the ground. Within hours of opening the ticket office the queues were "shut" and North End recalled 5000 tickets from the ticket agency "seetickets.com" who had been selling tickets over the phone and internet to season ticket holders only prior to Tuesday morning. ie Friday to Monday was sale exclusively to season ticket holders and shareholders, 2 per person. General sale refers to open sale, no restriction apart from 2 per person. Unfortunately some people abused the system and ordered more than 2 tickets also many people who haven't seen a match for ages got tickets through friends and as a result genuine supporters didn't get anything.
I have been to most matches at Deepdale this season but didn't posess a season ticket. I went on-line Friday to see tickets and booked 2 tickets, thinking the filters put on by PNE would either root out my application and fail it, or recognise that I had been to 20 home games or whatever, and allow it. I got my tickets on Tuesday am through the post very relieved person as I had to get one for my son who now lives on the Isle of Man. And he would have been far mor disappointed than me if we weren't going to the game. Kids eh? who's like them. We've got decent seats in the Upper Tier block 7 which is near the half way line, this is the last major football game before Wembley is re-opened ?

Best of luck to PNE. I hope the side get to join Wigan in the big time . Who knows, maybe in a couple of years it'll be Preston or Wigan playing in the Champions League? (Dream big!!)

I was delighted to read that PNE are going to be led out onto the field by their oldest mascot ever - none other than Sir Tom.
Here`s hoping -------------!!!!

Well lets hope North End do it tomorrow, they have been close before though I'm not sure if they have been this close before. I would love to see Preston playing the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal & Man u!
